AMR Client-Partner Chief Officers of State Library Agencies Names Executive Director

LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 13, 2021) — AMR Management Services, a Kentucky-based association management firm, recently named Jeremy Johannesen as the Executive Director for their client-partner the Chief Officers of State Library Agencies (COSLA).
Nick Ruffin, CAE, President and CEO of AMR, noted, “with over fifteen years in association management, Jeremy has made a career of bringing people together and facilitating the advancement of their strategic goals. He brings a wealth of experience in advocating for libraries and is excited to put that to work for COSLA.”
Johannesen served as Executive Director of the New York Library Association (NYLA) from 20212 to 2021, building on an earlier stint as Deputy Director. Between roles at NYLA, he led the NYS Alliance for Arts Education. He holds his BS in Arts Education from the College of Saint Rose and is recognized as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) by the American Society of Association Executives.
“I am elated and grateful for this opportunity to continue to advocate for libraries – now at the national level,” said Johannesen. “Together with the members, Council, and staff at NYLA we have accomplished so much in the past nine years, and I look forward to bringing those experiences forward to advance AMR and COSLA’s goals.”
