Facilit8me Program Reflections: Building Stronger Facilitation Skills for Association Leaders

The Facilit8me program is a unique 12-week training cohort, designed specifically to support association professionals in building and growing facilitation skills. As association professionals, we facilitate all kinds of meetings – board meetings, committee meetings, internal staff meetings, strategic planning sessions, business/membership meetings, stakeholder meetings, focus groups, and many more. These meetings often provide the venue for critical conversations that drive the future of an association. A well-facilitated discussion can mean the difference between stagnation and building the association of tomorrow.
This course not only demonstrates the skills needed and methodologies to use, it builds a supportive community of peers within association leadership who also recognize the importance and value of facilitation. Equipped with new skills, a toolset of facilitation techniques, and a support community, Emily and Molly are better poised to guide AMR client associations toward a strategic and thriving future.

What inspires you about your work?
I have a passion for the world of professional associations and the essential support, resources and connections they provide for members. I am an adult learning and meeting design nerd –I am continually inspired by the chance to design face-to-face meetings and innovate content strategy with new techniques, technologies and ideas.

What inspires you about your work?
The energy around the association is infectious. I’m surrounded by great people who love what they do and do it well; from my client-specific team, to the larger AMR team, to the association members.
